Extension Activities

The Snowman Shuffle, ABC’s and Hungry Little Lizard

Reading is even more fun and meaningful when books come alive. Here’s a few extension activities for each book this month to get you started.

These activities were curated for you by Graceann of Creating a Heavenly Haven. She has an undergrad in Early Childhood Education, a Masters in Education, and is currently homeschooling her three adorable kiddos.

The Snowman Shuffle

We love the character diversity, rhyming text, and giggles that are sure to ensue as your kiddo gets up dancing and learns how to do “The Snowman Shuffle” themselves!

As a bonus, we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview the illustrator of The Snowman Shuffle, Emma Randall. Check that out on our blog!

ABC’s

Soft illustrations that are simultaneously childlike and refined elevate this opportunity to teach how to correctly form letters! Help your child follow the arrows and trace each letter with their finger as you read through!
