What's Potty About

Publisher Summary

A new toddler title charts a crucial achievement. There comes a point in a toddler’s life when going in one’s diaper is only one possible option, and the question must be raised: "Should I go in my potty?"

With pitch-perfect humor and pacing, Leslie Patricelli follows the inner dialogue (sure to have little ones shouting responses) and hilarious actions of everyone’s favorite Baby, winding up with an over-the-top look of surprise and delight that will have both parents and offspring laughing out loud--"I did it!"

Who Wrote Potty

Leslie Patricelli

I live in the mountain town of Hailey, Idaho. Spaghetti is my favorite food and I wear jeans most of the time. I have no rhythm, but I married a professional drummer! I live with my husband, Jason, my two daughters, Tia and Tatum, my son, Beck (who is studying jazz in New York City, but still has a bedroom), a dog named Shep, three cats named Oreo, Kiki and Red Devil, and a leopard gecko named Bananaz. I've been drawing cartoons and writing stories since I was a little kid. Sometimes my pictures and stories were a bit twisted, to say the least. This worried my parents, but I turned out okay! Mom of Boys's Rating

This book sat on the back of our toilet during our potty training days for both of our little boys. They loved this book. It is very simple. Not a lot of words. It shows a little kid who needs to go potty and is realizing he doesn't want to go in his diaper, so what should he do? It shows what a cat and dog do when they need to go and then shows the little kid wanting to try his potty. Most of all it encourages other kiddos to try out the potty too. And then the great reward of wearing underwear. Note: you do see a bare bum, but the pictures are great and modest for a potty book :)
