Biography

Matt’s picture book, "Flashlight Night" (Boyds Mills & Kane), received national critical praise and was selected by the New York Public Library as one of the 100 Best Books for Kids of 2017. Other books include "Don’t Ask a Dinosaur" (Pow! Kids Books, 2018), "Once Upon Another Time" (Beaming Books, 2021), and many others. Meanwhile, his poetry can be found in anthologies like "The National Geographic Book of Nature Poetry" (National Geographic Children’s Books, 2015), "Night Wishes" (Eerdmans, 2020), and “Highlights for Children” magazine.
