A punny concept with cute illustrations, but it never hit the laugh-out-level of hilarity for me.
Fun, silly, and ultimately plot-driven, Escape Goat reminds me a bit of the hare-brained adventures of Robert Munsch books. Somtimes it's refreshing to find a book that doesn't have (much of) a larger universal message or moral: this is just a really fun book. I can see this being the kind of book I read to my kids over and over again.

Robin Preiss Glasser actually wore tiaras and tutus when she danced with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Now she happily spends her days in jeans, drawing. She has illustrated many acclaimed picture books, including the bestselling Fancy Nancy series. She won the Children’s Choice Award for Best Illustrator of the Year for Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet. Robin and her family live in Southern California.
