Laura Hambleton graduated from the Norwich School of Art and Design in 2000 with a first class B.A (Honours) in Visual Studies. Since then, she has been based in London, building a successful career as a designer, author and illustrator of children’s books, working for several prestigious publishers.Her first picture book, adapted from her final degree project was Commended winner of the 2002 V&A Award for Illustration. She was also long-listed for the Booktrust’s The Big Picture, Best New Illustrators Award, in 2008. Laura presents her books and give workshops at festivals, bookstores, schools and activity centres throughout Britain. Her books have been widely praised in high profile reviews, including The Sunday Times and The Guardian.
