I didn't realize this was a potty training book until about half-way through my first read, which made me love it even more! My toddler LOVES this book (although he hasn't been potty trained yet and doesn't fully grasp all the puns) and will contribute with his own "Go Pea Go!" at appropriate moments.
This book is so great! Pea Jr. runs a race in this book. I love that it shows him running an actual race with the idea of potty training throughout the book. My favorite part was definitely the Singing in the Rain reference. :) The illustrations are darling and this book teaches focus and determination, even when it seems hard to try to meet your goal! There's even a potty training chart and song in the back of the book.

Chris Sonnenburg has worked in development, direction, and as an artist at a variety of animation studios. He attended California Institute of the Arts and lives in Valencia, CA.
