Brooke Jorden is both an author and the managing editor for Familius. She, her husband, their three children, and their cat live in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Kyle Kershner has loved drawing since he was a tot. He graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in sequential art. He spends his days doing what he loves most, illustrating children’s books and making kid-friendly art. Kyle resides in Northeast Ohio with his wife and son.
Tyler Jorden earned a BS in chemical engineering from BYU. He has worked for Micron in Singapore, for Intel in China, and now in management for IM Flash Technologies in Utah. Also an accomplished musician, Tyler previously played violin with the Billings Symphony Orchestra and currently plays with the American Fork Symphony. He and his wife and three children live in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
Cheryl Sturm is a cofounder and vice president of R. Crusoe & Son, which creates unusual cultural journeys around the world. She used what she learned from her MBA at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management—and many other life experiences at home and abroad—to help build a successful company. The daughter of an Army major, Cheryl was born in Berlin, Germany, raised in Manawa, Wisconsin, and lives in Chicago, Illinois. She began her career as a television reporter in Wisconsin, but a professional detour happily lead her to international travel. 100 First Words for Little CEOs is Cheryl’s first book with Familius. Her inspirations are her nieces, nephews, and godchildren, and she looks forward to sharing her insights about the world with other thoughtful and curious children
Jannie Ho was born in Hong Kong and raised in Philadelphia. She has a BFA in illustration from Parsons the New School. After working as a graphic designer and an art director, she decided that illustration was her true calling and now specializes in illustrating for the children’s market. Her work has appeared in both trade and educational books, magazines, toys, crafts, and digital media. She lives with her husband and daughter in Boston.
Edward Underwood is one half of the Lisa Jones Studio design team. He and his wife, Lisa, began designing and hand-printing their own range of cards in their London studio in 2000. Drawing on their backgrounds in art and fashion, they’ve since stocked the world’s finest galleries, museums, boutiques and department stores with design-led goodies. Big Box Little Box is Edward’s first picture book.
