Diane Stanley is the author and illustrator of more than fifty books for children, noted especially for her series of picture book biographies, including Shaka, King of the Zulus and Leonardo da Vinci. She has twice received both the Boston Globe/Hornbook Award and the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators’ Golden Kite Award. Holly Berry

Holly Berry is a block printmaker and acclaimed illustrator of a number of picture books, including Colorful Dreamer, How Mama Brought the Spring (Charlotte Zolotow Honor Book), The Impudent Rooster (Society of Illustrators Silver Medal), and Market Day (Golden Kite Award). She received her BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design.
