Get ready for bed with this soothing sleepy story—now available as a Classic Board Book!
The sun has set, and sleepyheads all across the land are tucked into their cozy beds. Rabbit is snoozing in the weeds, and Duck is snuggled in the reeds. Bear is nestled in his cave, and Otter is rocking on a wave. But there’s one little sleepyhead who’s not in his bed. Where, oh where, could he be?
This sweet and snuggly bedtime book with irresistible illustrations by Joyce Wan is the perfect read-aloud story to prepare little ones for a cozy night’s sleep.
This is a sweet going-to-bed book complete with soothing text and gentle calming illustrations that goes perfectly with a pre-bed cuddle! All the animals are simply called “sleepyheads” in the book, so you can add in discussing with your child what each animal is and also look for the moon on each page if you’re interested in a little “I Spy”.
Such a sweet bedtime book! I love that this book takes a look at where animals sleep, and I love the sweet ending! Beautiful, soothing rhyme and sweet illustrations.

Award-winning author-illustrator, Joyce Wan, designed her first greeting card when she was in first grade for a city-wide greeting card design contest. The design won first place and was subsequently sold through a major department store chain. Twenty years later, that design would inspire a line of greeting cards and eventually a design studio called Wanart. Products featuring Joyce’s designs are now sold in boutiques and gift shops worldwide and she has published over twenty books for children including the best-selling YOU ARE MY CUPCAKE. Joyce is inspired by Japanese pop culture, modern architecture, and things that make her happy.
Joyce is the recipient of the Mills-Tannenbaum Award for Children’s Literacy from Reach Out and Read of Greater New York which recognizes children’s book authors dedicated to promoting a lifelong love of reading in young children. She was also twice chosen to be featured at the Society of Illustrators Original Art Show which showcases original art from the year’s best children’s books (2011, 2016).
Joyce is originally from Massachusetts and currently lives in New Jersey with her husband and daughter. She hopes to spread joy through all her work and inspire people to embrace the spirit of childhood and follow their dreams. (Bio via https://wanart.com/)
