A wordless picture book in which a boy comes up with an inventive solution for getting his toy airplane down from the roof.
What a funny book. No words but the pictures tell the story pretty clearly.I thought it was interesting to think about this boy who loved his airplane and waited his entire life to get it off the roof. Are there things we love as a child that we would hold onto? Or do we grow and realize it's a childish thing and not important anymore?
It's fun to give my preschooler a wordless picture book from time to time, because it challenges her in a different way. This book was enjoyable--she looked through each picture and was able to follow the story, and we talked about what was happening and how the boy felt at various points. However, it's probably not one we'll read again.
