Toddler Two is just right for young children beginning to explore their world. This entertaining and informative book features two adventurous toddlers on an afternoons romp through their backyard. As they blow bubbles, pull their wagon, dig in the sandbox, play hide-and-seek, and ride on swings, they discover everything about themselves that comes in twos: two eyes, two ears, two hands, two feet, two arms, two legs two is the number just for them. Rhythmic text and color hand-embroidered fabric illustrations make for a charming and refreshing counting book.
This is a simple board book, featuring activities toddlers like to do--nothing new or exciting about that. In the book, though, the characters discover things around them that come in twos and practice counting to two over and over again. I thought that was brilliant--what two-year-old doesn't love holding up two fingers to show you how old they are? The illustrations aren't really my style--embroidered fabric--but it's fun that they are different from most of the other books on our shelf.
