I am a children’s book novelty author and illustrator, and enjoy creating playful books that provide fun learning and exploration for the youngest readers. When I’m not sketching or designing, I’m most likely baking and crafting. I was born in Saigon, Vietnam. At the fall of the Republic of Vietnam in 1975, my family and I were forced to leave our home, and fled on the American Challenger, a ship that carried over 7,000 refugees. Our journey to America took over four months before we finally arrived in Northern Virginia, where I grew up. I later acquired a BFA in Communications Art and Design from VCU School of Arts in Richmond, and began a career as a graphic designer. I now work from my studio in suburban Maryland.
