Joan Bauer

Biography

Joan Bauer is the author of fourteen books for young readers. She received a Newbery Honor for Hope Was Here, and the L.A. Times Book Prize for Rules of the Road. The Christopher Medal was awarded to Hope Was Here, Close to Famous and Soar; the Schneider Family Book Award was given to Close to Famous. Joan Bauer lives in Brooklyn, New York
