Tupera Tupera is the pseudonym adopted by Japanese artists Tatsuya Kameyama and Atsuko Nakagawa who have been working as a creative team since 2002. In addition to producing humorous, colorful, highly original picture books, they’ve designed including crafts, sets, and merchandise and created animation for children’s TV. They have won a series of awards for their work, including the 2012 Japan Picture Book Awards Readers’ Prize and the 2014 Prix du Livre Jeunesse Marseille for Shirokuma no pantsu (Polar Bear’s Underwear).
