Get your book wishlists up and ready to update! Here are the titles the Bookroo Crew bought in November and what we think of them.
What we were looking for: Expanding our Christmas Collection!
Clement C. Moore's poem has had countless illustrations set to it, but this is by far and away my favorite. Still the classic poem, but this tugs at my heartstrings like no other with the illustrations that include economic diversity (e.g. Christmas in a trailer park), and the hope and joy the season can bring to all.
What we were looking for: A classic and a less familiar story from a bestselling pair!
We haven't read any of E. Nesbit's classic children's stories yet, so we thought we'd start with Five Children and It.
Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler are the pair behind the well known story The Gruffalo, but they've worked together on over ten children's titles, including this clever tale of a rat who steals from all the highway travelers before he gets his comeuppance from a clever duck.
What we were looking for: A new favorite Christmas book!
Bookroo named this a must own for a reason, and I realized I still needed to add it to my library this Christmas season! I love the diversity in the characters and settings. It's perfect for everyone who celebrates Christmas, because it shows that however you celebrate, Christmas can be just as special.
