Hi! I’m Jake Burt. I teach fifth grade in Connecticut, and I write books for kids, tweens, and anyone who likes stories. My first novel, GREETINGS FROM WITNESS PROTECTION, won the Connecticut Book Award, and the second novel, THE RIGHT HOOK OF DEVIN VELMA, just came out. Book #3 will arrive in the fall of 2019. When I’m not writing or teaching, I play stuff: Banjos. Board games. More games. Sports: basketball and ultimate frisbee. I also have a cat. Her name is Lyra. She’s named after the main character of one of my favorite book series of all time. One other thought: I think a kid with her or his nose in a book is just about the best thing in the world.
Nothing yet! Let Jake Burt know that you want to hear from them about their book.
More than halfway there—keep going!
Just the barebones.
