“If my three-year-old was going to that famous desert island where you only get three books, she might choose to bring this one twice. I like the book a lot, but it's her love for it that really pushes it over the top for me. The story is fun and engaging--maybe a little lacking for me, but like I said, she loves it. We agree completely, however, on the illustrations: they're an explosion of color that effectively blends a vintage style with a modern color palate. Each page contains the perfect amount of text--something else that matters to me.”
