A young boy finds hope when he is given an old soccer ball to play with in the wake of Haiti’s devastating earthquake.
This story talks about how some children use soccer as a method of finding joy amidst the grief and suffering that occurred after the terrible earthquake in Haiti. I appreciated that this book showed some of the heartache these people may have felt and also showed how a unifying, fun activity can help people in a time of sadness.
