A young girl explores what different emotions feel like, such as happiness which makes her want to twirl, or sadness which feels as heavy as an elephant.
I love the range of emotions that Witek explores in this beautiful book. The die-cut hearts, in decreasing size, in the cover and pages are a nice touch, and the pages are sturdier than standard weight paper to hold up a little better. The childlike drawings with splashes of color and tons of white space are lovely and the writing is spare and poetic. It's a nice, peaceful book for discussing a broad scope and feelings and then settling down to sleep.
