Koala may look like a bear, but she'll soon discover (as will you!) that she is, in fact, a marsupial (a.k.a. pouched mammal) as the note from the author explains more fully in the back. While the illustrations are truly adorable, and the book is informative (while still having a story) the very antagonistic and bullying tone of the kangaroo touting the fact that Koala is NOT a bear throughout the book seems slightly unneccessary, and a little off-putting.
