Stephen Gammell is the beloved illustrator of more than fifty books for children, including Song and Dance Man by Karen Ackerman, which received the Caldecott Medal, and two Caldecott Honor Books: The Relatives Came by Cynthia Rylant, Where the Buffaloes Begin by Olaf Baker, and The Secret Science Project That Almost Ate Our School by Judy Sierra. Mr. Gammell lives with his wife, Linda, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Sally M Walker is the author of Champion, a JLG selection, one of NCTE’s 2019 Orbis Pictus Honor Books, and a 2019 NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Book. She is also the author of ALA Notable Blizzard of Glass: The Halifax Explosion of 1917; the acclaimed picture book Winnie; and Secrets of a Civil War Submarine, which was awarded a Sibert Medal. She lives in Illinois.
Kate Hosford is the author of many books for children, including Infinity and Me and Big Bouffant. She lives in Brooklyn.
Barry Gott has illustrated numerous children’s books as well as written and illustrated greeting cards.
Chad Cameron’s earliest work was rendered in Crayola with a crude overhand technique on his bedroom walls. This expressionist body of work came to include drawings on other clean surfaces, his little brother, and a fair attempt at the family cat. This didn’t go over well with the critics.Eventually, the critics sent him away to college where he received a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. Since then he has endeavored to spend his time with flying pigs, blue space aliens and the occasional levitating cow. In 2005 he received an MFA from Academy of Art University where he is a now a part-time instructor.
Gabi Swiatkowska has illustrated one other picture book, Hannah’s Bookmobile Christmas by Sally Derby. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
