Martin Jenkins has written many celebrated books for children, including The Emperor’s Egg, illustrated by Jane Chapman, and Can We Save the Tiger?, illustrated by Vicky White. Martin Jenkins lives in England, where he also works as a conservation biologist.

Sarah Fox-Davies has illustrated many picture books for children, including LITTLE CARIBOU, which she also wrote, and WALK WITH A WOLF by Janni Howker. While painting the illustrations for this book, Sarah Fox-Davies says that a pipistrelle bat flew into her studio–and right onto her desk!
Salvatore Rubbino is the author-illustrator of A Walk in New York and A Walk in London, the latter of which is an ode to his home city.
Luciano Lozano Raya was born in southern Spain. He studied illustration in Barcelona, where he now lives. His work reflects a strong sense of color and texture, a frequent use of traditional techniques, and an undercurrent of subtle humor running throughout.
