Born talking–allegedly–Julia Jarman loved telling stories from an early age. She loved reading them too, and read every kids’ book in the local library. Julia became a teacher of English and Drama, got married, had three kids and started writing for them. She has never stopped, and has books for everyone from tots to teens and in betweens.

Richard was born in London but grew up in Brighton on the English south coast. After studying graphic design in Sussex he moved to northern England where he worked for several design studios in Manchester and Leeds. In 2012 he moved back down south to Chichester with his partner and their two smallish children where he became a freelance designer and began writing and illustrating children’s books. When he is not messing about in the sea he now spends most of his time creating picture books.
