How to Read Dragon Slayers' Academy

Read the twenty books in publication order, beginning with The New Kid at School. Most adventures have their own monster or school problem, but friendships, teachers, and recurring villains build across the series.

For parents

What Parents Should Know

The series uses dragons, ghosts, witches, monsters, and threatened danger for comedy. Characters may be chased, captured, frightened, or threatened with becoming a dragon's dinner, but the action is cartoonish rather than graphic.

Expect gross-out jokes, slapstick, greedy or incompetent adults, and schoolyard teasing. Short chapters, frequent illustrations, and a reluctant hero make these approachable for children moving into independent chapter-book reading.
