Grandpa explains that the golden rule is a simple statement on how to live that can be practiced by people of all ages and faiths, then helps his grandson figure out how to apply the rule to his own life. 20,000 first printing.
The illustrations in this book are absolutely gorgeous! It's not a story, more of a lecture on the golden rule, but it brings it to a child's level, gives a host of examples and follows a very plausible way a child might learn about the golden rule—from an elder. I also really enjoyed that the book shows that the golden rule exists in one form or another through a host of religions and cultures.
