A hilarious story from the author of Those Pesky Rabbits about friendship, perfectionists, and losing your sandwiches. Squirrel and Mole are the best of friends, and they do everything together, including going on picnics. But while Mole doesn’t really mind where they have a picnic, Squirrel is very determined that this picnic will be PERFECT, and that means finding the perfect place. But does such a thing exist?
Sometimes even the best laid plans go awry . . . including Mole and Squirrel’s plans for the perfect picnic. This story of friendship, problem solving and teamwork has a great message—it doesn’t have to go perfectly to be fun! The illustrations add a new layer of depth to the story and provide lots of opportunities for digging a little deeper.
As a child, Ciara Flood enjoyed nothing more than snuggling into bed and reading Asterix. She would spend hours creating stories and characters of her own. Now she is grown up she still loves doing these things, but she is lucky enough to do them as a job. After studying Visual Communications in Dublin, Ciara travelled the world. She funded her trips by working as a fruit-picker, hot-dog vendor and dog-calendar seller but proved useless at all of these so went back to doing graphic design and illustration. She now lives with her partner and daughter in London.
