Kids learn the alphabet and Spanish words for animals in this charming book. Pairing each letter of the Spanish alphabet with the Spanish word for a popular animal and its English translation, ABC Spanish is a gorgeously illustrated, engaging read that makes learning the alphabet and Spanish words fun for the entire family. The included pronunciation guide helps teach the proper pronunciation of each animal, making this book a perfect introduction to the Spanish language.
It's simple, but sweet. This is a good little ABC's board book with Spanish words for each letter (and an English translation for each word, though that means the first letter doesn't always match). The illustrations are pretty cute, and it's helpful that there is a pronunciation guide at the back. My biggest gripe with this book is that the font used throughout it is a little bit cutesy, which is hard for my just-learning-to-read daughter to read sometimes.
This book is darling!!! The illustrations are some of my favorite--they are the cutest! If you want a board book for learning Spanish, this one has some basic animals and food with the Spanish word and the English word below it. I especially love that in the back of the book it has all of the words and illustrations again (smaller) with the phonetic spelling so that you can learn how to pronounce the words correctly. While reading through the book the first time, I was wishing the phonetic spelling was on each page, so I was happily surprised that they were at the end of the book. The phonetic spelling in the back also highlights some Spanish sounds.
