BEWARE OF CRANKENSTEIN! Who is Crankenstein? HE IS A MONSTER OF GRUMPINESS THAT NO ONE CAN DESTROY! MEHHRRRR!!! HE’S ALIVE! He may look like any ordinary boy, but when faced with a rainy day, a melting popsicle, or an early bedtime, one little boy transforms into a mumbling, grumbling Crankenstein. When Crankenstein meets his match in a fellow Crankenstein, the results could be catastrophic—or they could be just what he needs to brighten his day!
It's a really cute premise (how children kind of act like tiny monsters when they're upset sometimes), but I personally find it quite hard to read outloud with all the growling going oh throughout and I find myself skipping the "Mehrrrrr!"ing when I go through often. There is both a board and a picture book version of this (both of which I have owned at some point) and I prefer the board book version as it's a little abridged and I think plenty.
