Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were born in 1785 and 1786 near Frankfurt, Germany. Their collections of folk and fairy tales have stood the test of time and still influence literature today.
Arthur Rackham (1867-1939) was described by The London Times as “one of the most eminent book illustrators of his day” with “ a special place in the hearts of children.” He was a prominent British illustrator of many classic children’s books from The Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm to Sleeping Beauty to Fairy Tales by Hans Andersen and dozens more.
