We love this book at our house! It is very fun to see all the benefits a book would have if it were a pet compared to all the downsides of actual pets. The illustrations are so fun and Bob Staake does and exceptional job with his rhyming!

We are big fans of Bob Staake, and while I don't think My Pet Book quite tops The Donut Chef, it's still a story we love to read and reread. It combines clever and original rhyming ("charity") with Bob's distinct illustration style. And since we love books around our home, we connect with the book's praise of books and reading.
