JUNISSA BIANDA is a children’s book illustrator based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She holds a master’s degree in illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco

Jessica Gibson is a mostly self-taught freelance illustrator who graduated from Wayne County Community College with an associate of arts degree. Though she primarily illustrates children’s books, Jessica also creates artwork for magazines and has an interest in character design. Ela Smietanka is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, Poland, where she now lives with her husband and sons.

Sanja Rescek studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, Croatia. She has illustrated more than one hundred books, which have been published in more than ten different languages. Sanja’s illustrations have also been featured on cards for UNICEF.

Born in a tiny town in the hills of Pennsylvania, Jill Howarth always wanted to be an artist. She graduated from Penn State University with a degree in graphic design and entered the corporate design world. As a senior designer and then art director at Hasbro Toys, she occasionally embellished product packaging with fun little drawings. More requests for these illustrations came her way and before she knew it, she was doing more drawing and less layout design. After leaving corporate life to start a family, she began freelancing, pursuing her passion for hand lettering and illustrating for the children’s market with clients such as American Greetings, Hallmark, Klutz, Penguin, Pottery Barn Teen, Scholastic, and more. Presently, she lives just west of Boston.
