(Spoiler alert!) This is not your typical picture book in the sense that this story doesn't have a happy ending... the fearless explorers don't find Z, likely dying in their pursuit of the city of Z, so if you have a sensitive reader you've been warned. That being said, all of the material is presented in a very age-appropriate way, and it's a fascinating telling of the real story of Percy Fawcett that will leave you feeling like you've learned a little something.
