What's The Quest for Z About

Publisher Summary

From an award-winning author comes a picture book biography that feels like Indiana Jones for kids!

British explorer Percy Fawcett believed that hidden deep within the Amazon rainforest was an ancient city, lost for the ages. Most people didn’t even believe this city existed. But if Fawcett could find it, he would be rich and famous forever. This is the true story of one man’s thrilling, dangerous journey into the jungle, and what he found on his quest for the lost city of Z.

(Spoiler alert!) This is not your typical picture book in the sense that this story doesn’t have a happy ending… the fearless explorers don’t find Z, likely dying in their pursuit of the city of Z, so if you have a sensitive reader you’ve been warned. That being said, all of the material is presented in a very age-appropriate way, and it’s a fascinating telling of the real story of Percy Fawcett that will leave you feeling like you’ve learned a little something.
