I adore Mac Barnett's minimalist style and ability to trim a story down to it's most basic components while still making it engaging. My toddler loves this book, and she loves that she can read most of it on her own. I like that it helps her think about how shapes fit together, and she likes that it makes her laugh.
Really cute, but my kids really latched onto the sneakiness which created some behavior problems, so not one I’d want to read regularly

Mac Barnett is the coauthor of the Terrible Two series and the author of many picture books, which have won multiple Caldecott Honors.
Jon Klassen is the author-illustrator of I Want My Hat Back, a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book; This Is Not My Hat, winner of the Caldecott Medal and the Kate Greenaway Medal; and We Found a Hat. He is also the illustrator of two Caldecott Honor books, Sam and Dave Dig a Hole and Extra Yarn, both written by Mac Barnett. Jon Klassen lives in Los Angeles.
