Classical music comes to life like never before in this magical journey through 11 beloved classical pieces. Meet Allegro, an ordinary boy who can’t stand practicing the piano. Those black dots on the page drive him crazy—until the music itself whisks him away on a breathtaking journey. Each beautifully illustrated scene on Allegro’s journey is accompanied by a famous classical theme that can be played with the press of a button. Hear Grieg’s “Morning Mood” while meandering through a misty meadow, Dvorak’s “New World Symphony” while exploring uncharted lands, Debussy’s “Claire de Lune” while pondering a shimmering night sky, and 8 more! Beautiful gold foil, lavish illustrations, and high-quality sound make this a musical masterpiece to treasure forever.
David Miles makes books for a living. He also reads books, writes books, sells books, shelves books, thinks about books, drives to books, sleeps to books, and cooks from books, but he doesn’t eat books (which is fortunate). He is the author of Book and has illustrated multiple series including the Slide-N-Seek novelty books and the Let’s Count regional board books. David graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in business management. He and his wife and son live in California where they enjoy lots of tacos, donuts, and, well . . . books.
I was born near Pisa on September 24th 1987. After graduating at the Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, I took part in many festivals as a scenographer and photographer. In 2010 I attended the Bologna Children’s Book Fair for the first time and fell in love with children’s books! I decided to study Illustration and Entertainment Design at NEMO Academy of Digital Arts. Since then,I have worked as an illustrator for publishers and as a painter and decorator for Dolce & Gabbana. I currently live in Florence where I work, play the guitar and actively help animals as a volunteer.
