The 2026–27 program year
Use this year's funds by June 30, 2027.
Alabama is one of the few programs with no rollover: “Any funds left in the account at the end of the school year (June 30, 2027) will be returned to the CHOOSE Act Fund.” (CHOOSE Act Parent Guide 2026–2027.)
The money keeps until June 30. The reading doesn't.
A school-year plan started now is ten months of books; started in March, it's four. Same price, same titles — the difference is how many months your child spends reading them.
