Animal Friends: Baby's First Book of Animals

Award-winning author Susie Brooks lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been writing and editing children’s books for more than fifteen years, ranging from diverse nonfiction titles to novelty and baby books. In her spare time, she dabbles in painting and drawing, both for and with young children.

Emily Ford has only ever worked in the world of children’s books, apart from a very early foray into shoe fitting and face painting (she does a great tiger). She’ll write on anything she can find–from notebooks to used envelopes and the backs of old receipts. As a child her handwriting was neat but now it’s almost illegible–only she can read it. Emily lives and works in London.

Kay Vincent has an MA in Printed Textiles from The Royal College of Art, London. Now a print designer, screen printer, and junk shop rummager, she enjoys looking everywhere to find “clues” to inspire her next design. She lives in South East London with her partner and their new baby boy.

Dawn Machell loves to draw pictures and colour them in. She originally studied Fashion Design and worked in childrenswear before deciding to focus on surface pattern and illustration for babies and small children. She has been illustrating children’s books since 2014 and would love to write her own stories…one day…soon…when she gets a minute… She lives in the North of England with her other half, Neil, and their two (big) kids and one (little) dog…but dreams of having a house somewhere warm by the sea.
