Three little kittens create a sensation when they join dancers onstage of a Parisian theater known for its ballet and for the artist who paints there.
I'm not exactly sure what makes this book such a hit with my three-year-old. Maybe it's because she loves ballet, maybe it's because we recently lived in Paris, maybe it's because I am that mom who drags my kids to art museums. It's probably a combination of all of the above. Regardless, the point is that she loves it and requests this book be read to her on a daily basis. I like the fact that the illustrations are in a style that's different from most of the books on our shelf, and I'm always happy for an opportunity to plug impressionist painting with my kids.
