Jack faces relentless bullies and a missing glove. Can he reclaim his joy and celebrate the World Series?
Fifth-grader Jack is tormented by bullies Steve and Cliff, who steal his lunch and his prized baseball glove. As Jack befriends new student Hans, they work on a school project together, but tensions rise when accusations of theft surface. With the World Series approaching, Jack must confront his fears and the bullies to reclaim his glove and his happiness. Will Jack find the courage to stand up for himself and his friends, or will the bullies continue to overshadow his joy?
When Bullies Act Out, It’s Time for Buddies and Baseball. Jack and his fifth grade buddies welcome a new student, Hans, into their group. Hans speaks only a little English, but is enthusiastic and a quick learner. All of them are baseball fans and thrilled that their Colorado Rockies team will be in the World Series. Jack’s happiness is dampened by two bullies in his class, Steve and Cliff. They catch up with Jack each morning taking brownies out of his lunch sack, letting air air out of his bike tires, and even stealing his baseball glove. Is there a way to stop these bullies? Can Jack get his glove back and celebrate at the World Series?
