“The illustrations in this one are so, SO cute, and I picked it up expecting a fun beach story of friendship between the little girl and the crab. While all of those elements were present, this book also has a strong "protect and clean the beaches!" message (done it a bit of a hit-you-over-the-head way), so if you're looking for a book to help teach kids to clean up beaches, this is your book! Overall, cute illustrations, lovely message, but the very strong presentation of the moral made this less enjoyable as an everyday storytime type of book.”
