Bookroo's summary

Cowboy Small and his trusty horse, Cactus, navigate the rugged range, rounding up cattle and facing the challenges of cowboy life. By day, they work hard, and by night, they savor the camaraderie of the chuck wagon and the serenity of sleeping under the stars. But can they handle the thrill of a bucking bronco? Join Cowboy Small on an adventure filled with friendship, hard work, and the open skies.

From the publisher

Cowboy Small takes good care of his horse, rides the range, helps in the roundup, and rides a bucking bronco, in a board-book adaptation of a long-time children’s favorite.

This is an oldie but a goodie! One of my aunts gifted my first son this book when he was born (apparently it's one my dad read as a little boy!) so it has a special place in my heart for that reason. Content-wise, it's pretty straightforward and reads board book introduction to what a cowboy does day-to-day. Read it with a cowboy accent for a little extra pizazz!
