EJ Lee and the Golden Door

EJ Lee is tired of being forgotten. The youngest of three kids in a typical Midwestern home, EJ finds herself longing for an opportunity to take her life from boring to blast-off. When a mysterious golden door that only she can see appears in her basement, EJ finds her curiosity taking over - until she’s sucked into another universe without so much as a goodbye. She spills out in place called Magalor, where the citizens have tentacle arms and telepathic abilities, not mention a secret about who EJ is and her purpose in life: facing down a gigantic monster only EJ can defeat. Can she defeat the monster, save the day, and return back to her family? Or will she even want to?
