Volume three of Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones follows Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi in his search for the person behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala. Kenobi is led to the planet Kamino where he discovers an army of clones is being built for the Republic–precisely the issue to which Amidala is opposed–based on the genetic structure of bounty hunter Jango Fett. Still on the planet, Fett executes a narrow escape when he discovers that Obi-Wan has found the clones. Meanwhile, on the planet Naboo, Padawan Anakin Skywalker continues to protect Senator Amidala–until he senses that his mother is suffering.
