How Do I Feel?

Children form their beliefs and learn how to manage their emotions between the ages of 4 and 8 years. It is important to get good information in front of them as early as possible! Fortunately, we can learn these lessons at any age. Amy writes “books for EVERYONE, disguised as a children’s books.” While In The Grove, the creatures wisely help our gnome learn How She Feels, after being stuck in the house for so long (e.g. Covid). Our gnome, Averi, does discover how she feels with the help of her new friends. They teach her many lessons, including how your thoughts affect your feelings, why it is important to name your feelings, and how to regulate big feelings. Look for several additional imbedded lessons and exercises in the back! Amy began writing during her recovery from a ruptured brain aneurysm. She had to consciously relearn so many things and she realized that this focused and directed learning would have been extremely beneficial earlier in her life. She has dedicated her future to sharing what she has learned with people of all ages, in many different formats.
