Make the Cut

A girl fights to out-perform the competition at an elite cheerleading camp in this first book in the drama-filled Top of the Pyramid middle grade series. Emerson Prescott might be one of the most popular girls in school, but she isn't so sure she has any real friends anymore. She does know that she's the best cheerleader at Fairview Middle School, that she's smarter than her classmates think, and that she works harder than anyone gives her credit for. When Em's ex-cheerleader, image-obsessed mom ships her off to Cheer-a-Bration, an elite sleepaway cheer camp, Em can tell right away that this is no middle school tryout. The athletes are top-tier, the stakes are high, and the competition is fierce...not to mention, she's surrounded by potential friends, frenemies, and even crushes. Emerson is willing to do anything to get, and stay, on top. But can she trust her newfound friendships to catch her if she falls?
