This book has great colors but a basic story.
Nancy Raines Day is known for her warm and witty rhyming and concept books, most recently Baby’s Firsts, Hoorade Day! and Pirate Jack Gets Dressed. Her colorful past includes growing up on the East Coast, attending college in the Midwest, and raising a family on the West Coast. Now she lives with her husband and three cats in Georgia’s Golden Isles.
Nancy is the author of a dozen picture books. Among her favorite subjects are nature and animals, math and music. She is powered by white chocolate mochas, her favorite refreshment as she works.
Allison Black is an illustrator and designer specializing in cute and colorful creations. Originally from Upstate New York, she received her BFA at Syracuse University and has since lived in Los Angeles, Minneapolis and now Columbus, Ohio. Allison’s career started as a product designer for Target, developing a huge range of kid-friendly products. She now has six published books and has another ten coming out. Allison also has a stationery company called Hip-Hip which she founded in 2015. In addition to making art around the clock, Allison has a particular love for gummy worms, goats and guinea pigs.

One boy I read the story to commented, “Pirate Jack sure is a flashy dresser!’ I love that.
