A brother seeks recognition beyond home runs and shadows.
Luke Thorson excels in batting averages and stolen bases, yet remains overshadowed by his brother Jake, the home run hero. As the Vikings' season heats up, Luke must decide if stepping out of Jake's shadow is worth the risk. Can he find his own spotlight, or will he forever be the unsung hero? Dive into a tale of sibling rivalry, hidden talents, and the quest for personal glory.
Jake Thorson, the Vikings team captain, gets all the credit. He leads the team in home runs, and everybody loves him for it – that is, everyone but his brother, Luke. Luke isn’t popular, and he hasn’t hit a single home run – but he does have the team’s best batting average as well as the most stolen bases. However, those types of things don’t really get you the attention that a homer does, and Luke’s tired of standing in the Jake’s shadow.
