What families may want to know

Every family reads differently. These are the concepts our editors noticed in this book — worth seeking out for some readers, worth knowing about for others. The list isn't exhaustive, but it's a spoiler-light head start.

Sex

This book contains an illustration of an art college where students are sketching a live female model, who's nude back is shown while holding a sheet to cover the backside of her lower body. A cabaret dancer is featured in another illustration.

LGBTQ

This book discusses how Freddie Mercury became "a symbol of gay culture." One of the illustrations shows Freddie's cross-dressing outfit for a performance.

Reviews

4.3

out of 7

4.3

This book is unique in it's structure, a compilation of full pages of "story" text, illustrations, quotes, and captioned illustrations. I'd recommend this is more for older readers due to the style and amount of text (and a few pieces of content), but it's interesting, full of fun facts, and sure to be enjoyed by Freddie Mercury fans.
