How to Read the Cloudy Books

Read the three original stories in publication order: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, Pickles to Pittsburgh, and Planet of the Pies. The later books refer back to Chewandswallow, so beginning with the classic makes their settings and family storytelling easier to follow.

Flint Saves the Day is based on the 2009 animated movie and uses the film's characters rather than continuing Judi Barrett's picture-book storyline. It is shown separately as an optional tie-in.
