Harry the Dirty Dog Books

Read the four original books in publication order, beginning with Harry the Dirty Dog. The stories stand alone, but the first book gives the clearest introduction to Harry, his family, and the joke behind his changing appearance.

Harry's Squirrel Trouble and Harry at the Dog Show are newer Level 1 early readers by Laura Driscoll and Saba Joshaghani, based on Zion and Graham's character. They are shown separately because they are designed for children beginning to read independently.

Harry disobeys, gets dirty, runs away from bath time, and sometimes creates household trouble, but the stories keep returning to affection, belonging, and making things right. The understated art lets children notice jokes before the text explains them.
