Katherine Halligan grew up near the beach in California with her nose in a book and her toes in the sand. She studied arts, literature, history, and languages, travelling and living all over the world. Her love of words and pictures led her to work as a publisher, writing over 100 books for children along the way. She lives—once again —near the beaches in California with her husband and their two daughters.
Ben Lerwill is an award-winning freelance travel writer based in Oxfordshire, England. He has been writing about travel since 2003 and continues to work with a broad range of magazine, newspapers, and websites. Ben’s writing has appeared in more than 50 national and international titles, including Nation Geographic Traveler, Wanderlust, Time Out, BBC Travel, The Guardian, The Sunday Times, The Observer, The Independent, The Daily Telegraph, BBC Countryfile, and Rough Guides.
Tom Adams is an award-winning television producer and author. He was born in Yorkshire but now lives in Kent, UK. With a science background, he was inspired to turn his hand to writing children’s books once his eldest son, then 5, started asking questions about how the world worked. He won the Society of Authors/ ALCS Award for Educational Writing for his book Molecule Mayhem.
Sarah Walsh has illustrated a wide range of projects, from toys and home décor to apparel and greeting cards, as well as children’s books and activity projects such as Draw Bridge , also published by Chronicle Books. She currently lives in Kansas City
